Volunteer

We can always use a helping hand at our market to greet visitors, and help direct them to our Market Entrance. This year we're expanding our volunteer program to assist with setup and tear down of the market. There is still an operational shift too if getting physical isn't your thing. If you enjoy meeting people and being outside, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. 

Our Market runs on Saturdays from the end of May until mid-October 

The 'Setup' volunteer shift goes from 7am - 10:30am
The 'Teardown' volunteer shift goes from 10:30am - 2pm

Market Crew

We offer seasonal paid positions for those interested in helping out on Saturday mornings consistently throughout the Market Season.

We seek motivated team players who enjoy the outdoors and working with the community to help with the set-up and tear-down of the Waterdown Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings (every Saturday or alternating Saturdays pending availability and schedules). There are also occasional casual hours available to support other community events and programs via the Waterdown Village Business Improvement Area (BIA).

Responsibilities include assisting with set-up and tear down at Market and events (tents, tables, signage, promotional materials, etc) as well as interfacing with the public, answering questions and being ambassadors for Waterdown Village, farmers, vendors and the business community. 

Candidates must be willing to working early Saturday mornings, consistently throughout the market season. There are some physical requirements of the job - candidates must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. We're looking for self-starters, crew members who see what needs to happen and get it done. Service and hospitality-driven attitude a must. CPR training is a plus.
